The Trouble with Textbooks

I really do not know how the Textbook Bureau of the Ministry of Education operates but the books they selected as textbooks leave much to be desired. Some are not even clear on concepts.

A case in point. Soltices and equinoxes. There is a diagram showing the earth at four positions around the sun. The poor student is confused which of them are equinoxes and which; soltices.
Some revision books do provide a date besides the earth position to aid the student.

The way I look at it, the four positions of the earth is a standard picture. The earth position on the right is the winter solstice while that on the right is the summer solstice. The earth position on the top refers to the spring equinox whilst the bottom position is that of the autumn equinox.

I hope I am not confusing anyone.
