The Way It Used To Be

Gone of the days when things were cheap or when things were inexpensive. The strength of the ringgit is fast disappearing. It is shrinking at an enormous rate.

I remembered I used to buy a plate of mee at 20 sen, a roti canai at 10 sen, satay at 5 sen a stick. A soup of fish ball soup or a bowl of beef noodles costs 20 sen as well.

Ans when I go to the wet market, kembong was sold at 15 sen a kati. You can get a black pomfret for ringgit and prawns could be gotten at a 50 sen a kati. Pork was cheap. You can get it at a dollar fifty a kati. Kampung chicken eggs were going for no more than 10 sen each

In fact, the most expensive thing thing was a chicken. It cost at least four dollars. As such we eat chicken only once a year duing the Chinese New Year.
