He had the singular honour to serve such a boss.
Spineless and absolutely selfish, this boss fellow only feared for his own skin, ambition and career prospects. Married to a doctor, he was really fearful of her as well. She called the shots at home and so he brought his bullying tactics to the office.
If he knows that you are talented in a certain area of work, he will be calling you like crazy. This date-line and that dateline. You would be spending your entire life in his office like a page boy.
But when it comes to overseas trips and promotions, he doesn't remember your service. He will willingly agree to his deputies to promote some periphery creatures who are just plain wise-crack office politicians.
Such is the life working under spineless and selfish bosses.
