Toilet Trouble
The down-stair's toilet developed problem on Thursday last and would not flush. The handle became loose after frequent attempts by users to flush.
This morning, at 6 a.m., I got up to solve the problem. Calmly, I disassembled the flush handle mechanism and try to find out what the problem was. Ah, so... there was an unnecessary plastic nut between the handle and the flush mechanism. I got rid of it. Then I fixed it all back and believe me, it was as tight as could be and the handle works like new.
Just before 12 noon. The up-stairs toilet acted up. My son flushed the toilet and the link wire holding the handle and the flush mechanism broke. On scrutiny, we found it broke because it had rusted through.
Together, with my son, who is on holiday, we got through some difficult problems because of the small space we had to work with. Ultimately willpower triumphed and we got the toilet flush working again.
I believe it will be sometime before we hear of toilet problems again. I hope.
