The Good Shepherd
Just saw the movie. Quite pedestrian. Two hours and forty-five minutes.
The Good Shepherd is a fictional film based on real events. A tad too long, this film lacks excitement. In its intention to make it almost authentic, it loses its entertainment value. The cat versus mouse sequence of spy versus spy can get real tiring.
Matt Damon’s okay in his role but oftentimes he appears wooden. His lovemaking scenes are highly contrived. Even Angelina cannot bring appeal to the film. If you have the time to kill and you do not mind learning about espionage during the Second World War and the early CIA, then the movie may be just the thing for you.
